It's Time to Travel! What to Bring and What to Leave?

It's Time To Travel! What To Bring And What To Leave?

The ultimate travel help is here to keep you in check with all your travel preparations. Every now and then, one needs to travel to rejuvenate oneself. It is important too to make sure that before you start your flight search phase, the things you bring with you are the things you need to bring and the things that you should keep away at home are right at home. We don’t want unnecessary stuff that will just add pounds to our luggage. Here are the things that can help you narrow down the stuff you need and your stuff you need to leave behind.

Oh, heads up on the news of the day, Traveloka is throwing great deals including cheap

Air Asia flies to many destinations and one of them is Hawaii and 'quote' from their CEO ….“By connecting Asean and North Asia to the US our world-class low fares offering, we will make it possible for those who could only dream of a vacation across the Pacific to take that trip”.

Diamond Head in Honolulu is the most famous volcanic crater in the world and is located on the south-east coast of O’ahu at the end of Waikiki overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Vietnam  ....... A street in Hanoi.  Note the motorbikes and the women selling their wares.

You might need to keep an eye out if you are doing your flight search or hotel bookings. If you don’t know, Traveloka is this new kid on the block in OTAs neighbourhood. It’s new in Malaysia, but pretty well known in other Southeast Asian countries. Wicked, huh? Anyway, you can visit their website to find the deals coming. Prepare to lose your wits when you go flight search there.

When You Travel, You Need These Stuff
1.     Perfect Luggage

Knowing your luggage is like knowing your soulmate. You have to know which suits the type of travelling you are going. If you are travelling heavy for a looonggg time, then the rolling luggage or the four-wheels luggage will work fine for you. You can roll with it at ease, but you might get a bumpy road if you are walking on paved roads and sidewalks. If you want to experience adventure from one place to another like backpacking, then, you guessed it, the backpack will make your life easier. Remember, choose your luggage like you do for flight search. Crappy flight will result in crappy travel experience.

2)  Travel Health Kit

The last thing you need is getting sick or injured throughout your travelling period. Dying is another thing, that’s unavoidable. It is important before you do any flight search for your travel, you make sure your health kit is in great condition and put together with your luggage. Don’t leave it at home and expect you can get it once you are there. It is better to have your basic medications, vitamins, antibiotics, sunscreen, travel insurance (that’s number one) and other health-related stuff is ready. When you are done with your flight search and all, you won’t have to revisit your luggage to check whether you have everything or not.

When You Travel, You Need To Ditch These Stuff

1.     Work

You should make this a life motto. No matter how far you are up on the ladder at work, but when you are travelling for the holidays, you travel solo. This means that the things associated with work should be kept as far away from you and your flight search as possible. You don’t look up on your flight search while thinking “does this airline provide convenient working space for me to finish some work while on my way there?” NO! Don’t even think about it. It is important not to be the slave of your own work. Life is so precious and it’s not going to give you a heads up when it is done with you. Do you really want the last time you spend the holiday with your loved ones is having you spending time on work? Put a foot down on this. Work belongs at the office, not when you are a thousand miles across the globe having FUN with your family and friends.

2)  Extra Baggage

More baggage means more pounds on the luggage you have with you which equals to the waterfall of money you are going to have to pay up once you are done with your flight search operation. Ditch the unnecessary stuff behind. What kind of stuff? The stuff that you don’t need. The stuff that you are very unlikely to use when you are there. It’s going to be hard to leave those things behind, but it is for the best. Make your flight search process easy by sticking with minimalist philosophy.

And with that, have a great travelling experience~

Wool Roll Bread ... its popularity is booming and bursting the seams of Facebook and Instagram.  Every day you see new posts of it, with different ways of making it as well as an endless assortment of fillings to experiment with.  I too have been browsing the internet to research these various methods and their outcomes.  What is it that makes Wool Woll Bread so crazily popular?  To satisfy my curiosity, I tried my hand at making it and was very happy with the results.  I love seeing the bread strands when I pull apart the bread to reveal the meat floss filling and I enjoy how soft and chewy the bread is.  Jump on the bandwagon, folks, you won't regret it! Marble Butter Cake ~ 大理石牛油蛋糕

This is one of the most popular Butter Cake recipes among fellow bloggers and I've read many reviews about this cake.  Credit must be given to Mrs S K Ng for so generously sharing her recipe.   This cake is moist, fluffy, soft, not overly sweet and the texture is just right.  Must admit that this is the best butter cake that I've ever tasted.  I tweaked the recipe to make a Marble Butter Cake instead. So glad to see that there weren't any cracks on the surface although it rose slightly in the middle. Bika Ambon Panggang ~ 印尼糕

Kuih Bika Ambon or Honeycomb cake is an Indonesian dessert and from the outset it looks quite challenging to attempt baking this cake in order to achieve a honeycomb pattern.   There are many recipes online and I also googled for Indonesian recipes and watched the video on youtube.  I was looking for a recipe that is not so complicating but straightforward and I managed to come across Whattocooktoday's blog and found her recipe.  I was very delighted when the cake turned out to be a success.  Thanks, Marvellina!   Bika Ambon Panggang  ~   印尼糕 ( adapted from  'here'  with adjustments)   Ingredients for : - Yeast mixture 2 tsp dry yeast 1 Tbsp plain flour 1 Tbsp sugar 2 Tbsp warm water Coconut Milk 350 ml coconut milk 160 gm sugar 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 10 kaffir lime leaves (tear to smaller pieces) 2 lemon grass, bruised for flavour Cake Batter 180 gm tapioca flour 1/4 tsp salt 5 large eggs   Method Mix the ingredients in the Yeast mixture and set aside to let it ferment.
